"You Will Be Missed"

The night begins just as every other,

A gathering of friends...But there's another...

This night came along just as expected,

But "When I saw her face, my heart left this place..."

To another place, another time,

Where nothing is real but all in my mind,

She brought me back with the sound of her voice,

The softest sound but an echoing choice,

The choice to engage not stand alone,

To be by my side and feel at home,

The hours pass as we share our lives,

Growing closer together with no need for lies,

After all, we're stranger to the world,

What harm could come from our lives unfurled,

The night comes to an end, time to say goodbye,

Hesitation lingers as we both sigh,

The moment of truth it's come to this,

Do we hug goodbye or will we kiss,

I pull her close in my embrace,

Ready now to leave this place,

I whisper in her ear "You will be missed",

As we take our first and last kiss.

"Im Not Enough"

She fights for everything she’s got,

And everything she never thought she’d have,

This time she’d rather give it up,

Then give in to what she wants instead,

.. ..

The last time has come and gone away,

Now she’s left with nothing left to say,

The tears she cries are better left alone,

Then wiped away, hidden and unknown,

.. ..

The pain she had, is now just memories,

Of a time and place that she can barely see,

Hope is now in sight for the girl I used to know,

She finally be where she will call her home,

.. ..

I hope she finds a man who will love her like I do,

And make it last, do all I couldn’t do,

She needs the best in life that’s all that she deserves,

To have a love like mine but one that doesn’t hurt,

I may not get to see you as often as I like,

"A Fresh Start"

Watching clouds drift through sky,
Makes me feel like I can fly,
In dreams I have flown once before,
My feet were swept up off the floor,

It turns out I was not alone,
Just that her face was never shown,
I never knew who made me fly,
Who never once would make me cry,

In her arms I would be safe,
And taken to another place,
Away from all I've come to fear,
Where her voice is all I hear,

The truth for me was hard to find,

In time I did forget the dream,
